Our mission

Vargon Foundation exists to develop and deliver leadership, behavioral engagement, and decision-making training in support of youth, families, and community organizations in the District of Columbia. We build the kind of capacity that lasts beyond any single training: the judgment, the relationships, and the habits that allow people and institutions to make better choices over time.

We are organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and our work is grounded in the conviction that the strongest communities are the ones whose members have the skills to lead, decide, and engage with confidence.

Our founder

Momodu Gondo founded Vargon Foundation to formalize and expand the community-focused work he has carried out across DC for years. As principal of Vargon Consulting Group, LLC and founder of Love Lead Inspire Inc., Coach G has spent his career building training programs and partnerships that meet community organizations where they are. The Foundation reflects his commitment to making that work sustainable, accessible, and accountable to the populations it serves.

Our board

Vargon Foundation is governed by a board of directors committed to the Foundation's mission and to the standards of independence and accountability that define a well-run nonprofit. The board includes individuals with experience in nonprofit governance, community programs, finance, and the populations the Foundation serves.

How we are organized

Vargon Foundation is a District of Columbia nonprofit corporation, organized exclusively for purposes described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation operates independently of any for-profit entity, with its own governance, its own finances, and its own programs.

Vargon Foundation maintains a formal arms-length relationship with Vargon Consulting Group, LLC, a separate for-profit consulting firm. The two organizations are distinct legal entities with separate boards, separate accounts, separate compensation structures, and separate operational footprints. Any transactions between them follow strict conflict-of-interest procedures consistent with IRS guidance for related organizations.
